1.What is Marble Material?

2. Any difference between interior and exterior tiles?


Don't limit your thought that tile can just be used indoors. You can apply tile to pre-cast concrete walking pads to create amazing garden stepping stones. But if you decide to use stone tile outdoors, be sure these tiles meet slip-resistance minimum requirements. Exterior tiles have a surface texture that helps make them slip resistant. Top-quality tile fabricators make special outdoor tile that has a slightly gritty surface, even though the tile is glazed. The invisible grit provides superb traction when tiles become wet. Make sure the absorption rate is 0.5% or less. We recommend that slip-resistant tiles be used outdoor in areas exposed to weather and rain, or around swimming pools etc. Exterior tiles are usually graded to display their particular slip-resistance. Be aware that there is always a trade-off between slip resistance and maintenance and cleaning. Slip-resistant tiles will accumulate more dirt and will definitely require more regular attention.



3. How can I estimated how many tiles do I need?


Tiles are usually sold by the square feet, so the area to be covered needs to be carefully measured to establish how many square feet are needed. This can be done by your architect, designer, builder or probably your tile contractor. Note that there is always a degree of waste resulting from the cuts required to fulfill your tile layout. The contingency allowance for wastage is best estimated by your tile contractor, but is typically between 15% on a straight lay and 15% on Diagonal lay, depending on the tiles being used and the complexity of the actual design and layout. Meanwhile, consider that it is always wise to store several spare tiles just in case of replacements in the future.



4.What Should I know before install the tiles in my kitchen and bathroom?


When you're considering tiling your kitchen or bathroom floor, take into account the disruption in your daily life. Some preparation can be done well prior to the tiling project. You will need to remove cabinets and doors when a new sub flooring will be applied. Regarding the kitchen floor project, set aside a long weekend so the kitchen can be back in normal use as soon as possible. How long does it take?

5. What type of materials will be suitable for my kitchen?


Granite is a more durable stone; therefore, it is suggested that it be used in the kitchen. Granite is also resistant to heat. You could place a hot pan on it to no damage.

Marble is much easier to scratch and is affected by acidic substances. These acidic substances will cause a chemical reaction which damages the polish. However, with proper precautions, such as sealing, marble can be used in the kitchen.





6. How to take care for my natural stone flooring?


Dust mop interior floors frequently using a clean non-treated dry dust mop. Sand, dirt and grit do the most damage to natural stone surfaces because of their abrasiveness. Mats or area rugs inside and outside an door will help to reduce the sand, dirt and grit that will scratch the floor surface. Make sure that the underside of the mat or rug is a non-slip surface. Usually, it will take a person about eight steps on a floor surface to get rid of sand or dirt from the bottom of their shoes. Never use vacuum cleaners that are worn. The metal or plastic attachments or the wheels may scratch the floor surface.



7. there are some stain occurs, how do I remove?


If stains do occur, a stain remover may be needed. However, a cleaner will wash off surface dirt, a stain remover such as a poultice will actually act to draw out deep-seated dirt and stains from the stone's pores. Several applications of a stain remover may be requested for difficult stains, and darker marbles should be tested to ensure that the stain remover will not bleach the stone. For recurring problems, or a very deep stain, a professional stone manufacturer shall be contacted. Approved stain removers can be purchased at retail stores or at your local tile and stone dealer.



8. How can I tell if my stone has already been sealed?


Apply a drop of water to the surface and let it remain for at least 20 minutes. If the stone does not get dark, then your stone is likely to be sealed against water-based stains. However, testing for oil repellency is not so simple because if the stone surface is not sealed, then you don't intend to stain it by purposely placing oil on it. Be aware that although your surface may repel water, that does not mean that it has been sealed properly its best to obtain a professional evaluation.
